Wing warping vs. ailerons

Wing warping was a way to steer an aircraft during WWI how this worked was some wires attached to ether side of the wings and it would warp the wings in a way to obtain the result of an airplane rolling. Ailerons were pieces of an aircrafts wing that were cut out and put on hinges and would angle their ailerons in order to make the airplane roll.

Modern day aircraft use ailerons for one very good reason… they don’t require a flexible wing like wing warping dose therefore the aircraft can go raster.
